Biographical Information
Mrs. Davis, or “Señora Davis” was born and raised in Cincinnati and began her teaching career in Cincinnati Public Schools in 1997 after a working in the field of Finance and Accounting for several years. She relocated to Columbus in 2001 and began teaching in CCS. Señora Davis has taught grades 3 and 4 at Columbus Spanish Immersion Academy, 7th and 8th grades at Buckeye Middle School, and Spanish 1, 2, and 4 at Marion-Franklin HS. She comes to Yorktown after spending 4 years in the Peer Assistance and Preview (PAR) Office as a Consulting Teacher and Co-Lead.  She attended Cincinnati Public Schools and earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Miami University and a master’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Spanish, from Xavier University. Señora Davis also earned her National Board Certification in World Languages other than English in 2009. She has traveled to Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela to hone her Spanish skills. She enjoys listening to music, baking, watching basketball, and spending time with her husband their three children, who are 10, 12, and 14. Señora Davis teaches Spanish at Yorktown, including Introduction to Spanish for grades seven and eight, Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.
